The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office publishes updates on all spending over £25,000. Similar to the MHRA’s Covid-19 Yellow Card data, the FCDO provides this information in an inconvenient format, making it difficult for the general public to process and understand. We hope this site goes some way to resolving this issue.
Each page of data has Twitter and Facebook share icons at the top. We will be adding icons for other platforms in due course. Just click the icon to share!
In June 2020, Boris Johnson announced the merger of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office with the Department for International Development.
September 2020 was the first release of spending data for the newly created Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. We will be adding the pre-September 2020 data shortly.
At the time of writing, the latest data available is May 2022. We believe the FCDO publishes these releases quarterly, and so we expect the next update covering June, July and August 2022 to be released in November 2022.
We will update this site as soon as new data becomes available.
Good question! This is clearly used for internal accounting, but FCDO 'transparency' does not seem to extend to telling anyone what the money was actually used for. We would encourage the use of freedom of information legislation to find out, and let us know.
